THERMOCOUPLES, RTD ASSEMBLIES TEMPERATURE SENSORS:
Manufactured for a wide range of applications and temperature according to ANSI MC 96.1 (Thermocouples) and IEC 751/DIN 43760 (RTD’s) Standards, with High-Purity MgO (Magnesium Dioxide) mineral insulated cables with stainless steel sheath material. Tercom Thermocouples are manufactured in any length with different types of “hot junction”(ungrounded, grounded and exposed) according to the following ANSI types:
- Type “T”(Copper-Constantan) for range -200 to + 350°C
- Type “J” (Iron-Constantan) for range 0 to + 750°C
- Type “E”(Chromel-Constantan) for range - 200 to + 900°C
- Type “K”(Chromel-Alumel) for range - 200 to + 1250°C
- Type “S”(Pt,10% Rhodium -Pt) for range 0 to + 1450°C
- Type “R”(Pt,13% Rhodium -Pt) for range 0 to + 1450°C
- Type “B”(Pt,30%Rh -Pt,6% Rh) for range +800 to + 1700°C

Tercom RTD’s are also available in any length with the following types and temperature ranges:
- Ni type (Nickel) for Temperature Range  -60 to + 180°C
- Pt type (Platinum) for Temperature Range - 200 to + 850°C

Both Thermocouples and RTD’s are normally mounted on a Thermowell through a connection head (Weatherproof and Explosionproof types are available) and an extension made with nipple(s) and union (available in carbon steel and stainless steel).Tercom Thermocouples and RTD’s electric and insulation characteristics are tested in a modern equipped plant.

Other important and typical types of Thermocouples and RTD’s supplied by Tercom are the following:
Skin-Type Thermocouples & RTD’s for measurement of the surface or “skin” temperature on  boilers, furnaces and heater pipes.
Multipoint Reactor Thermocouples & RTD’s for monitoring and control of the temperature inside process reactors.

THERMOWELLS:
To allow thermocouples & RTD’s mounting a Thermowell is generally necessary to provide adequate protection of the thermoelements.
Tercom thermowells are manufactured in any length with different materials from pipe or bar-stock, with process connections threaded, welded, or flanged to meet practically any type of requirement and process condition.
